Ordering & payment
How can I pay?
You can pay securely with PayPal, iDEAL or Bancontact. Prefer to pay later? You can do so with Klarna or Riverty. The payment methods available depend on your country and are shown at checkout.
Can I still change or cancel my order?
Yes, as long as your order has not been shipped yet. Orders received before 15:00 (CET) on working days are shipped the same day, so please be quick. Call or WhatsApp us for the fastest response and keep your order number at hand.
Is the product I want in stock?
Every product page shows whether an item is in stock. Does it say “Out of stock”? Send us a message. We often know when new balls are coming in, or we can suggest a good alternative.
Shipping & delivery
When will my order be shipped?
Ordered before 15:00 (CET) on a working day? Then we ship your order the same day. In the Netherlands you will usually receive your golf balls the next working day. Deliveries to other European countries usually take a few working days. If you order after 15:00 or at the weekend, your parcel will leave on the next working day.
What are the shipping costs?
Shipping is free on orders from €100, both in the Netherlands and abroad. Below that amount you pay:
- Germany, Belgium and the rest of Europe: €8.95
- The Netherlands: €5.95
Tip: with a larger pack of lake balls you will quickly exceed €100.
Which carrier do you use?
We ship with DHL. As soon as your parcel is on its way, you will receive an email with a tracking code. Not at home? DHL will usually deliver the parcel to a neighbour or take it to a nearby DHL ServicePoint.
Which countries do you ship to?
We ship to almost all of Europe, including Germany, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Austria and the United Kingdom. Shipping costs €8.95 and is free on orders from €100. Please note: for shipments to countries outside the EU, such as the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway, import duties or local VAT may be charged.
Returns & complaints
Can I return my order?
Yes. You can register your order for return within 30 days of receipt. Simply send an email to info@degolfballenman.nl with your order number and the products you would like to return. We will then send you further instructions. Return shipping costs are at your own expense. Read more on our returns page.
When will I get my money back?
As soon as we have received and checked your return, we will refund the amount within 7 days to the account you paid with.
My parcel arrived damaged. What now?
We’re sorry to hear that! Send us a message as soon as possible with your order number and a few photos of the packaging and the products. We will work with you to find a quick solution.
I am not satisfied with the quality of the balls
We check our lake balls by hand, but even so a ball may occasionally slip through that should not have passed inspection. Please let us know, ideally with a photo. We will be happy to put it right.
Can I return printed golf balls?
No. Printed golf balls are made especially for you and therefore cannot be returned. That is why you always receive a free digital print proof first. We only start printing once you have approved it.
Lake balls & quality
What are lake balls?
Lake balls are golf balls that have ended up in the water. We dive for them ourselves in the ponds and water hazards of golf courses in the Netherlands. We then clean them, check every single ball and sort them by brand, model and quality. This lets you play well-known brands such as Titleist, Callaway and Srixon for a fraction of the new price. And those balls don’t stay in the water.
What do AAA and AA mean?
AAA and AA describe the condition of a lake ball:
- AAA: balls in very good condition with at most light signs of use.
- AA: very playable balls with visible signs of use, such as slight discolouration, small scratches or a pen marking.
We sort popular tour balls such as the Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x separately into AAA and AA, so you can choose the quality that suits you. The grade is shown in the product name.
Our other packs and mixes contain a combination of AAA and AA balls. The condition may vary slightly from ball to ball, but every ball has been checked by us and is perfectly playable. The difference is mainly cosmetic. For most recreational golfers an AA ball plays just fine.
Do lake balls fly as far as new golf balls?
For most golfers, a lake ball in good condition plays almost the same as a new ball. Balls that have been under water for a very long time can lose some distance. That is why we check every ball and remove the bad ones. Do you play at a high level and want every last yard? Then choose our Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x in AAA quality.
Can the balls have logos or markings on them?
Yes. Golfers often put a dot or line on their ball with a pen, and many balls carry the logo of a company or golf club. That is part of what lake balls are and has no effect on how the ball plays.
Which models and model years will I receive?
We sort by brand and model, for example Titleist Pro V1 or Callaway Supersoft. Because the balls come from the water, a pack contains different model years of that model. A mix gives you a surprising combination of brands and models. A great way to discover which ball suits you.
Are your lake balls refinished?
No. We clean our lake balls thoroughly, but we do not repaint them. Refinished (“refurbished”) balls can play differently from the original. With us, you get the original ball.
Which golf ball suits me?
That depends on your level and what matters most to you: distance, a soft feel or lots of spin around the green. Read our blog Which golf balls are good for beginners? or the complete guide Everything you need to know about golf balls. Prefer personal advice? Tell us your handicap and what you are looking for via the contact form.
I run a golf course. Can you clear the golf balls from our ponds?
Certainly! We recover the golf balls from the water hazards on your course. You can read how it works on our golf ball diving page. You are also welcome to call us directly to make an appointment.
Printed golf balls
How much does it cost to have golf balls printed?
Unbranded golf balls with your logo start from €1.40 each, including printing. For premium brands such as Titleist, Callaway and Srixon, the price depends on the model and quantity. View all options or ask us for a no-obligation quote.
What is the minimum order quantity?
We print unbranded golf balls from 120 balls. For premium brands the minimum is 144 balls.
How long does it take to receive my printed golf balls?
The standard lead time is approximately 15 working days after approval of the print proof. Need the balls sooner, for example for an event? With our rush service, delivery is possible from 7 working days. Call us on +31 55 522 11 22 to discuss the options.
Will I see a proof first?
Yes, always. You first receive a free digital print proof. We only start printing once you have approved it.
How do I supply my logo?
You will get the best result with a vector file (EPS, AI or PDF). A JPG or PNG is also possible, but we will always ask for the original vector file after you place your order. Not sure whether your file is suitable? Just send it to info@degolfballenman.nl and we will take a look.
